Wayne State University

Law Scholarships and Grants

The law school awards several merit and need based scholarships and grants to students. The Law School Dean of Students Office coordinates selection of recipients based on academic credentials and financial need. No separate application is required. The Dean of Students Office will notify scholarship and grant recipients in writing of awards.

A completed FAFSA is a requirement for any Law School scholarship award.

Scholarship recipients may also apply for Federal Financial Aid through the Law School Financial Aid Office. Federal regulations and university policy require the Law School Financial Aid Office to consider scholarships as a financial resource in determining financial need. A scholarship award may reduce any loan eligibility you may have.

Scholarships and fellowships specifically for law school students are described on The Law School Web site. The Law School Dean of Students Office provides scholarship information at an Annual Informational Scholarship Fair in the Fall.

Scholarship information for all graduate students is available on the University Scholarships Web site.
